How long does a felong diversion stay on your record in Kansas?
My husband got into some trouble and got a diversion for a felony charge. This happened 2 years ago, and he has completed all of the community service and paid back what he had to. He wants to get a job as a police officer when he comes home from Iraq. But a recruiter that he talked to, said that he, and every other police station wouldn’t hire him bc thats on his record. So will he ever be able to be a cop? He passed the Army’s background check. He can go to Iraq for 16 months, but he can’t be a police officer?!
Usually the rule is after 7 years an appeal can be made for an offense to be expunged from a record not posotive if that is Kansas, but i would assume it is more than 2 years for a felony in any state.
